Greetings!
Welcome to the weekly edition of my "Daily Grind" series of blogs.
Nature Deck is one of the most unpredictable decks in the game. Once they snowball, they are very difficult to stop. In this featured match, I am up against a Control Nature deck that made me very nervous until I won the game. I consider every game versus Nature decks not a done deal until I make the god's health to zero, but I do have a higher confidence that I can pull the win as opposed to other decks.
In this daily grind, I am starting to get more and more confident in my deck because I feel and see that the deck is still able to jump up and down from Auric Gold to Solar Gold. The least that I am relegated to is Midnight Shadow, and it is a good thing that Midnight Shadow is a lighter league for my current deck. For my deck, the competition is on Auric Gold and Solar Gold.
That being said, I was able to win the first five games of this daily grind before I lost one game, and that's it for me for today, since I am always looking forward to winning at least three games a day.
Featured Match
In this featured match, I was up against an unpredictable Control Nature that utilizes Bladefly. Bladefly has been a proven winning card if left unchecked. It is the backbone of a Food Chain deck, but can also be used as a win condition for an aggro nature deck. In this match, I was anxious when my opponent played his first Bladefly. It is a good thing that I got Sole Survivor in my hand to kill all the creatures of my opponent on the board.
God Power: Rapture
Mulligan
Against a Nature deck, I am always looking for my 1-2 mana cards that I can play on the first turn. If I can't find any, it would be very hard to win.
1 Mana
I played my two Trial Spirits on the first turn. Playing them on the first turn makes my chances of winning the match a little better since I have to attack with four damage instead of just two on the second turn. My opponent played his god power.
2 Mana
I went face, and I played Tavern Brawler. My opponent played his god power once again.
3 Mana
I went face, and I played Kaori. My opponent played Azaiah, Hand of the Spire, and Finian Fruitbearer.
4 Mana
I killed Azaiah using Blade of Styx, I killed Finian using Trial Spirit, and I went face. My opponent played Gersemi and Nemean Lion but decided to conceded and it was GG.
