Welcome to the weekly edition of my "Daily Grind" series of blogs. Fast war decks are solid decks that every player is wary about. It can win the game in just 5-6 mana. I am sure you guys already know the fast war meta today, most have similar cards that make them very fast and lethal.
Once in a while, I get to battle an expensive deck worth more than a thousand dollars. This time I got the opportunity to experience battling them again courtesy of a $1400 deck that comprises Blade/Martyr of Whiteplain, Eiko, Hortuk, Salvator, Avatar of War, Demogorgon, and Thaeriel.
By the way, I got to stay again on Ethereal Diamond courtesy of a Food Chain deck that I built). I was able to win 5 out of 10 matches courtesy of that deck.
Featured Match
This featured match is against a fast aggro War deck (called Wallet War by GUdecks. I was thinking of conceding until I decided to give it a go for another turn and it turned in my favor, I drew the last piece of my Food Chain combo when I only got 6 HP left.

Mulligan
Against any war deck, I am looking for 1-2 mana cards. I am not looking for any of my combo pieces in the mulligan against any war deck.

I played Vanguard Axewoman. My opponent played Wood-cutter Imp and killed Vanguard Axewoman.

I played Wind-Up Roller. My opponent went face with Wood-cutter Imp and killed Wind-Up Roller with Claw and Fang. My opponent played Valka's Captain.
3 Mana
I played Underbrush Board and it killed Valka's Captain. My opponent went face with Wood-cutter Imp and with a 2/1 relic. My opponent played Valka's Captain and Lootable Corpse.
4 Mana
I played Iron-Tooth Goblin to destroy my opponent's relic. I played Lightning Strike to kill Valka's Captain. My opponent played Grand Hall and buffed Wood-Cutter Imp and Lootable Corpse. My opponent killed Iron-Tooth Goblin with Claw and Fang and went face with Wood-Cutter Imp and Lootable Corpse.
5 Mana
I played Zaskia. My opponent attacked Zaskia with 1/1 Lootable Corpse to remove the "protected". My opponent played another Wood-Cutter Imp and killed Zaskia. He went face with 4/1 Wood-Cutter Imp. My opponent played Hoplite.

I summoned a 1/2 Badger. My opponent went face with Wood-Cutter Imp and Hoplite.
6 Mana
I played my Food Chain combo. I killed Lootable Corpse and Grand Hall, I played my second Food Chain card. I killed Wood-Cutter Imp with Guerilla Gardener. My opponent decided to concede and it was GG.
