Hello dear players of GODS UNCHAINED, how are you? I hope so!
Continuing my studies and learning in this exciting game, today I will talk about one of the main themes of the entire universe of GODS UNCHAINED, whose understanding is key to the good development of decks and evolution in gameplay.
So, in today's post, we will talk a little more specifically about the GODS of the game.
And here we go.
Inside the arena the UNCHAINED GODS battles have as an objective to defeat the opponent's GOD reducing its life to 0 and, for this, you must dominate the battlefield with your card deck, choosing the best ones available according to the most appropriate moment for them, always considering your mana limit per round.
Looking this way the game seems "simple", but, as we know, it is not. A battle starts long before the arena, and a good and correct preparation will certainly influence your chances of obtaining a positive result.
The preparation for battle consists especially in the choice and formation of your card deck, selecting the cards according to their usefulness, combos, amount of mana, and style of play.
But before deciding which cards to select in your deck, you have to make a basic initial choice, through which the whole style of play and cards will change, namely: choose your GOD.
Besides the change between the cards that each GOD will allow you to choose for your deck, you must also choose, within the battlefield, a specific power from each of the GODS to use in that battle, and this power also proves to be very useful and interesting, and a good choice can make all the difference in battle.
In the game we have 6 Gods and Goddesses available to choose from, which are: Light, Death, War, Nature, Magic and Deception, which will be dealt with more specifically below.
Thaeriel, God of Light, has 3 powers, these being:
Heal: A useful power to increase the resistance of your cards, as the name says with this power you will be able to heal up to 2 of the life of your cards that may eventually have suffered damage, recovering the life of a good card and enabling it to remain on the battlefield is of great help. It costs 2 mana to use in the round.
Summon Acolyte: This power is a great option to put a 2/2 monster on the battlefield every round, even if you eventually don't have the card available in your hand, allowing you to spam monsters in an attempt to control the board. Keeping control of the battlefield is a good path to victory. It costs 3 mana to use in the round.
Lysander's honor: This is a good debuff to apply to your opponent's cards, reducing -1 the strength of one card according to your choice. It costs 2 mana to use in the round.
Malissus, the amazing Goddess of Death has 3 powers which are:
Soul Burn: With this power you will cause one damage to your God, but at the same time you will also cause one damage to the enemy God. This is one of the characteristics of this Goddess, sacrifice. It costs 1 mana for each time you use the power.
Blood Ritual: The name of the power already describes its effect, it is a true blood ritual with which you destroy an enemy creature that has 1 life and at the same time Malissus is healed with 1 life, that's a good power. Cost 2 mana for each time you use the power.
Neferu's Sacrifice: As its name says, it is a sacrifice power, with it you receive a card from your deck, but on the other side, you also receive 2 damage. Cost two mana for each time you use the power.
Auros, the powerful and strong God of War also has 3 powers which are:
Enrage: This power increases the strength of one of your creatures by one, but on the other hand deals 1 damage to the same creature that was benefited by the strength increase. It costs 1 mana each time you use this power.
Slayer: Direct damage to the enemy God, with this power you will be able to, in a simple and objective way, cause 2 damage to the enemy God without any difficulty, it can be very interesting depending on the battlefield. It costs 2 mana each time you use this power.
Valka's Presence: Power to summon a creature, using this power a Valknir Raider will be summoned on the battlefield with 1/1 status, good power to control the battlefield. Cost 2 mana each time you use this power.
Aeona, goddess of nature, uses the elements to her advantage and has 3 incredible powers which are:
Flourish: A simple healing magic, this is a power through which Aeona heals 1 life of one of her creatures, it is quite interesting due to its low mana cost to use each round. It costs 1 mana for each time you use the power.
Animal Bound: Power to summon creatures on the battlefield, even without a card in your hand. With this power Aeona summons a Confused Badger with status 1/2 on the battlefield. It costs 2 mana each time she uses this power,
Selana's Mark: An incredible power and a great differential to use at various times in battle, with this power Aeona deals 1 damage to an enemy card and at the same time heals one of your life. It costs 2 mana for each time she uses the power.
Elyrian, God of Magic, with his magic damage is a strong God in various battles, he also has 3 powers which are:
Clear Mind: A "support" power, because with it you will not cause damage to the enemy, will not heal, will not summon, with this power you will foresee a card from your deck. It is an interesting power because of its reduced mana cost. It costs 1 mana for each time you use the power.
MageBolt: Pure magic damage, with this power Elyrian deals 1 direct damage without difficulty. It costs 2 mana each time he uses this power.
Palla's Genius: Using this power Elyrian adds 1 mana magic spell randomly to his hand. A great power that demands more mana than most of the other Gods' powers. It costs 3 mana each time you use this power.
Ludia, Goddess of Deception, is a Goddess with unique characteristics who uses the damage done to her opponents as an alternative for her battles.
She possesses, like the other Gods, three powers which are:
Thievery: This power, when used, causes a one mana card from her opponent to be added to her hand. It is certainly of great value in certain moments of the battle. It costs 2 mana each time you use this power.
Flip: Using this power Ludia draws 2 cards from her deck, and in the same act, 2 cards from her hand are shuffled back into the deck. It costs 2 mana each time you use this power.
Orfeo's Distraction: Causes 1 damage to your own creature and gives it the ability to be "hidden" until the next round, it can't be attacked that round, very interesting to be used on strong cards when you are near the end of the game for example. It costs 2 mana each time you use this power.
I have tried in this post to make an introduction about the function of the Gods in the game and, in a summarized way, to talk about the powers of each of the Gods in Gods Unchained.
The complete subject about the Gods is of high complexity and very vast, because each one of the Gods above has specific cards that are only available for each one, making the game have an infinity of deck combinations even within the available cards.
The choice of a particular God has a direct influence on how you build your decks and, of course, how you conduct your battles, how you play, and, above all, your style of play.
Besides this, the powers of the Gods, as the ones I've dealt with in this post, can be widely used in your favor in battle, either as a combo with other cards, to summon new cards on the battlefield, to cause damage to enemy cards, to heal, among other uses.
So, with such a wide range of options available, the best alternative, in my opinion, is to study and practice aiming an evolution in the game.
Currently, within my style of play, which is very early, I have adapted well to Aeona and her "Salana's Mask" power.
With this power I have the ability to cause damage to enemy cards, even if only one, to complement the attack with other cards on the battlefield and defeat my enemy's cards, all this without forgetting the healing that Aerona receives while causing damage to my opponents' cards.
It is very likely that in the next games I will change the strategy, but for now, this one has given me good results and is the one I have found most interesting.
Thanks for reading.
