The Problem
At this time, the craziness about Mage WR is well known over all the community.
As a F2P player, I don't have the all the Palla's toolkit: Ancient Texts ($62), Form of Power ($30), Palla's Wand ($115), and neither the DO legies: Demetrios, Playwright ($14), Vortimer the Volatile ($12), Monolith of Storms ($14)..
If you can't beat them, join them
But I couldn't stay away of the Leyhoard Hatchling wave. The baby dragon is unbalanced for sure.
The Solution
I'm a big fan of Minimalswag YouTube channel and the community that has been built at its Discord.
And it was there where I found the solution: the Aether Magic Deck. So, I gathered some Aether creatures and came up with the following list:
I was doing fine and ended up the first day with a 13/18 (72,2%) result. But, I wasn't convinced about one card: Mana Auditor. I was always ending with it on my hands or playing it just as a 4/4 body.
When on Saturday, much to my surprise, a player called LeoVin84 showed on Top Weekend Ranked with an expressive 22/25 result playing a very similar Aether list.
It was the final push that I needed to took off the Mana Auditor, playing Planetar Sage instead on the last games.
Conclusion
So, I completed the weekend ranked with the list below, wich got me a 19/25 (76%) result. The deck is really fun and competitive, beside that it plays by itself on several matches.
** The title refers to LeoVin84 result, as I started the event at Solar Gold level.
