Huge meta shift after sanctum cards re-balance!
For some archetypes, nothing changed. Overall, the meta looks similar, but if you take a closer look... (As usual Gumeta.web.app was used as main source of informations :)
#1 War
War is still in first place in terms of popularity. Zoo War remains balanced. In good hands, it can achieve a much better win rate than the average 50%. This archetype, even with poor piloting skills, rarely falls below a 50% win rate due to the deck's inherent nature.
Carvings, however, has shown quite terrible stats today. This deck is the opposite of the Zoo archetype: it requires good piloting skills, a fully optimized deck, and a bit of luck. Without these, it struggles to even maintain a 50% win rate.
#2 Nature
Ok, Amazons are the new Zoo War. I think the Sanctum changes hurt War the most, and Amazons are now taking the top spot for aggro decks. It's an all-in deck, but most meta decks cannot fully avoid the face damage. Amazons, with additional support cards from ToD, can easily chip away at a few HP even without controlling the board.
Mutations are becoming quite popular. However, this is a deck where players can make several mistakes every turn, leading to a super low win rate overall.
#3 Magic
Atlanteans don’t care about any meta shifts. It's a strong, solid deck, and only a core rebalance could harm its performance.
#4 Death
With no more Void hate and three sleep counterspells removed in the new Sanctum, I expected a huge shift for Death. However, I don’t see much change happening here—at least not yet. Maybe it’s too early to tell.
#5 Deception
No changes in four weeks, really. Aggro is still strong, and Mayday is okay. But remember, GP balance changes are incoming! Maybe it will result in a buff for some Deception archetypes.
#6 Light
Zoo Light is solid and stable. A huge advantage of this archetype is that most Light cards can also be used in formats like Genesis. This makes shiny decks an excellent ROI.
I hope you enjoyed the reading!
