Hey everyone,
So I recently did a similar post of pack opening and I felt that sharing such things can help a lot since there are a lot of cards that are still unknown to many of us, as well as new players that are coming to the game can see them and maybe buy them if they saw that it was a good deal or that they needed them.
So this post will also be about 4 packs that I opened from my first time ever 19 wins in mythic last week and giving my thoughts about each one of them!
Getting 19 wins in mythic will get you 1 Leg DO pack which was my first ever, 1 Epic DO pack and 1 Rare DO pack, It also says Extra rewards but I did not receive any so maybe it is delayed or something because I do not know what these extra rewards usually are.
So let's see what did the packs hold for me:
First Pack (Rare)
Feral Cat (0.03$)
Not that bad of a card. Not widely used because the 1 or 2 damage provided by it can be gotten from many other cards and even dealt to more suitable places. And with canopies around you won't need it that much it is very situational for some decks.
Mark of Death (0.03$)
I never saw this card used before to be honest. I can see it might do well with a deck where you want to flood the board with zombies and use a card like Corpse Explosion to deal huge damage to the enemy god.
Archangel Bruiser(0.18$)
I actually already had 2 copies of this one. Even after the nerf, this card is still a decent one and a must buy for any Frenzied Aggro war deck. So if you plan on playing such decks go ahead and buy 2 of them!
Venerable Paladin(0.03$)
For 3 mana 2/2 creature with only 1 armor that will be transformed to another creature when it dies, I do not see this card being good. The strength of armor is when it stacks so having 1 armor on her then 1 armor on another creature is not as good as having 2 armor on 1 creature. And the stats are not so impressive.
Blazing Talisman (0.24$)
I saw this relic used once against me a long time ago. I do not know where it can perfect but I can see it doing well maybe in regen decks however, with this much relic removal in game, it is tough to keep a 1 durability relic alive which makes it much weaker.
Second Pack (Epic)
Tenderizer (0.66$)
I saw this card used in some war control decks in tournaments. However, I do not see it working in other decks than control and I am still missing some cards for such deck. But overall, for late game control decks this is a game finisher I would say.
Archpriest of Parthene (0.31$)
This deck is so good in order light decks. Since you will be having a lot of order, you will have an insanely strong creature for 6 mana! I can't wait to try it once I have the required cards for a order light deck!
Harrowing Visions (0.03$)
Got this in my last packs, I can see it only fitting in a deck where drawing cards is so important, otherwise I think 4 mana is tough to lose, it is like a whole 4 mana round where you can be easily punished for.
Pan Forgemaster (0.03$)
Apparently this card is so famous in DO packs, I get it a lot of times, for 4 mana I can not see a 3/3 creature with 1 armor buff for other nether creatures being very good except when you are dominating with a nether deck.
Veracious Fiend (0.08$)
Also got it last week. This card is always used in zombie deck, a 2/2 creature with leech also giving you a 1/1 zombie is so good for only two mana. Like having a 3/3 creature with leech!
Third Pack (Legendary)
Guerilla Gardener (6.77$)
To be honest I was not so happy to get this card. Although stats wise it's so good just like an 8 mana card should be, I do not think it is very viable at the moment except in late game nature deck which I rarely see performing well.
Grumpy Chest (0.03$)
Saw this one used a couple of times where the opponent uses his god ability to damage it and get an extra card. It seemed like a decent idea It might help a bit maybe in tempo decks but a lot of better options for 3 mana I would say.
Strix Conscript (0.03$)
Also got it last week and my opinion is still the same. For 3 mana, having 2 HP and 1 armor is not going to help you much and it is still very easy to remove. Maybe in an armor buffing deck I do not know.
Blood and Bone (0.03$)
We all know the "Random Nature Cards" we get can be game changing. But I would rather use Revivification instead of it because this 1 damage to the enemy god will probably will not make a huge difference except in a deck where you need frenzy a lot which we rarely see in nature.
Falling Star (11.27$)
Very good card, widely used in nature, I was even happier to get more than the legendary one, the burn and buff and 3 creatures from it are so good altogether. I will probably use it this weekend rank if I used a nature deck.
Conclusion
Every time we open a new pack in this game, we might always see a card that we never saw before and be surprised at the effects of it. This is the beauty of this game. The wide variety of decks and options that we have make it even more and more fun.
So I think sharing these packs with you might benefit a new or old player in maybe finding a card that can help him in certain deck or maybe boost the creativity of someone to create a whole new deck with weird new purpose!
So I hope you enjoy this post and let me know what you think about the cards I got and if you are excited about anything you got you can always share it with me!
Mad Love, Peace out <3
