What I especially like about MJ Anubians, I think you don't need to have all MJ Anubian legendaries and epics to start playing well. It is enough to get doubles of these cards:

Pharaoh's Heirloom, Hand of the Abyss, Dark Sun Celebrant, Return Tombguard, Reach into the Black

After that, the Heirloom factory will be ready for work and you'll only need to add cards from the older sets. I have compiled the list of such cards based on hours of playing Anubians in PTR. It was especially curious to play Anubians against Anubians to see what cards people chose from the older sets. After PTR, I also researched decks on Gudecks. Look at what I've found.

Raving Necromancer

A mosquito of the Anubians. A malarial one.

Firstly, MJ Anubian creatures ans spell resurrect 1-mana creatures so Raving Necromancer will be one of them.

Secondly, Raving Necromancer is an Anubian, and, when an Anubian dies, other Raving Necromancer or Priestesses of Takhat, if any on the board, will hit the opp's god.

Thirdly, you should populate your void with 1-mana Anubians as early as possible, and Raving Necromancer is a good candidate for that.

Priestess of Takhat

Priestess of Takhat works in the same way as Raving Necromancer but she makes twice more damage. Too good and they can't nerf it :) An immortal catapult for 1 mana :)

A week ago during my pre-pre-MJ preparation 🙂, I literally swapped a piece of wood (a common CS card, Mace of Calling) for 2 Priestesses of Takhat:

Faithbreaker

MJ Anubians are about a lot of small hits in the faces. Raving Necromancer and Priestess of Takhat do this. The same, Wretched Vanguard, the most common 1-mana Heirloom warrior, does 1 damage when it dies. All of this creates the best soil for Faithbreaker's stats growth.

Feast of the Dead

There is much damage in MJ reality. This spell makes Anubians leech for just 1 mana. Sacrificing a (1-mana) creature isn't a problem for this archetype.

Deathwatch Elder

An Anubian so all Anubian magic works with it. Blessed. And it hits 3 in the face even if Magic puts 6 Labyrinth Guards between you and their god. Just play it late. Easy to kill? Resurrect it by the Anubian powers.

It is still one of the cheapest epics of Divine Order: only 0.000077 ETH.

Triage Necromancer

This guy looks as if it was created right for MJ Anubians. And his stats are good.

Triage Necromancer has returned Priestess of Takhat

Triage Necromancer has returned Priestess of Takhat at the end of turn - you pay 5 mana and you get 7/7. You don't need to wait 2 turns as you do when you are playing the Hollow.

Catacomb Curator

You have to obliterate a card in your hand after summoning this creature. But after that, Catacomb Curator keeps circulation between the void and the board, and you only draw cards and never obliterate. An awesome creature.

Untold Greed

Another way to draw cards that was popular among MJ Anubian players in PTR.

0.06 ETH currently. This is the only card I don't have from this list. But ... probably 2 Catacomb Curators are enough for me.

Skull Scepter

The whole idea of MJ Anubians is about 1-mana creatures, dying and resurrecting. So Skull Scepter works like a machine gun. Add this effect to the powers of Priestess of Takhat and Raving Necromancer and you'll see the whole picture.

Malissian Magistrate

The true meaning of this afterlife effect is "Give protected". Because you can hit an enemy creature and you'll have your attacking creature safe - thanks to the roar of Malissian Magistrate. This is an Anubian way to get control of the board.

Another use case is when you defend your key card like Triage Necromancer. This time you can compare this afterlife effect with giving +100% health. In the case of Triage Necromancer, it will be 3/3 stats of Malissian Magistrate + "extra 5 health" for Triage Necromancer, 11 points for 3 mana... Amazing.
