The question is how to shift from a problem-oriented approach to a person-oriented approach in counseling?
The counselor should not take her/his counselee's life situation for granted para masabing magaling siyang counselor. On the way the counselor approaches to her/his counselee, to the counselee might think that the counselor is the enemy. Para sa life situation, kung yung magbibigay sa atin ng advise is hindi natin nakikitaan ng concern for us, parang mahihirapan tayong take yung advise na binigay nya, pero kung sa tingin natin is makakabuti rin naman sya for us ite-take natin sya for our own goods. Like what the example gave to us “gaano man kapait yung gamot iinumin parin natin yon kasi alam natin iyon yung makakapag bigay lunas sa sakit na meron tayo”.
