This evening, I want to share my view on what I title Having a Heart of Gratitude. This is what I want to deliberate on this evening.
You know in this world where we are, so many people do not show gratitude for what they've and what they've gotten from people.
Do you know it's very bad not to show gratitude at all times?. When you show gratitude, you're telling the person you've seen what he or she has done for you.
But when you fail to appreciate, you're indirectly telling the person you didn't see what he or she had given to you.
This is the same thing that applies to God. Most of us do not show gratitude to God for at least the life we're living. Have you tried calculating the money you spend every day on things and food?
If you do, you will know that the life which you're living is indeed a gift from God. Had it been you who were asked to purchase the life you're living for your loved ones, do you think you could survive it?
Obviously no. So the same way God feels when we refuse to show gratitude to him for the good things he has done for us, applies to mankind.,
Take, for instance, a family of six children, one out of the six shows gratitude to his parents for everything they gave to him, while the others do not see the need to do so.
Among them who do you think the parents would buy something for anytime they came back from an outing? Of course, the one who shows gratitude.
So if our earthly parents could do that, how much more our God. Gratitude opens new doors, while a lack of gratitude closes doors that were already open.
So let's learn to show gratitude no matter how small the gift may be. You might not know how important your gratitude meant to the person.
It won't take away anything from you, but rather, it will help you value what people give to you.
Note, what you don't know, you can't teach anyone. It's what you know that you will pass from you to your children.
Remember! Our children learn most of the values they possess from their parents. So that is to say, they'll surely imitate what you do. So if you don't use to show gratitude to people for their gifts, you will also find such value in them.
Teach them how to appreciate, and God will reward you.
