Hello hivers!
I know I haven't been posting much lately, with the holidays and my general lack of ambition being my main excuses. I finally uploaded another model kit review video to my youtube channel yesterday, so now it's time to write a post for it.
For this model kit review, I take a look at an older Matchbox kit for the Messerschmitt BF 109 E-3 in 1/32 scale.
A bit of history, The BF 109 type was first developed in 1935-36 and went into production at that time. The early versions were used in the Spanish Civil War with the Condor Legion, with the E version first seeing service with them in the last phase of the civil war.
The early developments and improvements of the airplane let to the E model in the late 1930s, and were in service during the early WW2 period of 1939-40. They saw front line service until 1941 when they started to be replaced by the F model version.
This particular kit was manufactured at some point between 1977 and 1982, judging by the white box and the green label that shows the kit number. This kit was obtained from the local hobby shop. This is a pretty nice kit with a lot of detail parts.
Here's the video for the kit review, it's just short of 14 minutes long.
Thanks for checking out this post and the video! I hope you found it interesting!
