I haven't written a post about my Star Wars collection in a long time, so I wanted to give a bit of an update on where I am at right now.
I love these black series helmets, I think they make for a topper for the display.
I got these shelves on Amazon, and they're pretty good. But I have an idea for one that I'm doing to build for the figures.
There are some great designs already out there, which I'm taking inspiration from for my own. When I finally get building, I'll be sure to film and document the process.
I have my figures arranged based on their release, so starting from the top left, and moving to the right, we have all of the original figures from 1978, when Kenner started releasing the toys.
Most of them have their weapons and accessories now, but there are still a couple I'm on the hunt for.
One that I was so happy to complete was the Snow Trooper, second from the left, on the second shelf from the top. Also, Yoda, with his orange snake.
I have a couple of doubles, as you can see, but these are variations of the same figure.
Yoda with the orange snake is the most common version, and then there is the rarer Pac-Man eyes Yoda with the brown snake.
Another I was delighted to complete is the Tusken Raider, top shelf, third from the right.
Here is the second side of the shelf.
One figure I really want to complete on this side is the cloud car pilot, third from the right on the second shelf.
If I'm honest, he is my least favourite figure of this line, but it is so hard to find his com-link, so he would be great to have complete.
A group of characters I love is The Max Rebo band, Second, Third and Fourth from the left on the bottom shelf. I have Sys Snootles microphone, but I'm missing Max Rebo's mic, and Droopey McCools flute. Those are what I am on the hunt for specifically at the moment.
All in all, I've done really well and have managed to get some cracking deals on all of these.
With the help of some friends I've met since going all in with my collecting; they have been a huge help in finding what I'm looking for and for a fair price.
Also, mini-cons/ comic cons have been pretty good too.
What I would like to do is take them all out of the display case and take closer photos, which would be great, especially since there will be no glare.
A lot of these figures are in mint condition with minimal paint rub, which is typically what I look for when buying.
I have a couple which aren't in great nick, either due to paint rub or general wear. Those, I'll be swapping out for better ones, but I'm not really focused on replacing them just yet.
If something comes up, I'd go for it, but it isn't a priority.
Thanks for reading, have you got a favourite Star Wars figure from this line?
