Hello friends, it's the first time that I upload content in this community that I found by chance while reading posts from other hiver, and I really liked it a lot, so today I would like to share with you how my sister, my mum and I put together this big puzzle of 1000 pieces in the shape of the planet earth, it was really big and spherical, like the earth itself, so it took a lot of work to finish it, but we still did it and we spent a lot of quality time together and it helped us to cope with the worries of a bad moment.
Hola, amigos, es la primera vez que subo contenido en esta comunidad que encontré por casualidad mientras leía post de otros hiver, y de verdad me gustó mucho, así que hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes como fue el proceso en el que mi hermana, mi mamá y yo armamos este gran rompecabezas de 1000 piezas con la forma del planeta tierra, de verdad era grande y esférico, como la propia tierra, así que nos costó mucho trabajo terminarlo pero aún así lo logramos y además pasamos mucho tiempo de calidad juntas, aparte de que nos ayudó a sobrellevar las preocupaciones de un mal momento.
I have always loved solving puzzles and I have also had the utopian dream of travelling the world, or at least seeing a few countries, so I was very happy when I received this gift for Christmas, a wonderful thousand piece puzzle in the shape of planet earth, which would guarantee me hours of entertainment, as well as spending quality time with my family, Above all it helped us to reduce the tension that was generated when we found out that my paternal grandmother was ill with pneumonia and was admitted to hospital, my dad had to travel to the town where she lives, and unfortunately we could not accompany him, so we stayed at home waiting for news and of course that generates a lot of stress, so we took refuge in this activity that was very helpful to lower the level of anxiety. Fortunately my grandmother is now back home after eleven days in hospital, her health is quite good and the whole family is very relieved.
Siempre me ha gustado mucho resolver rompecabezas y además he tenido el sueño, digamos utópico, de viajar por el mundo, o al menos conocer unos cuantos países, así que me sentí muy contenta cuando recibí este regalo por navidad, se trata de un maravilloso puzzle de mil piezas con la forma del planeta tierra, el cual me garantizaría horas de entretenimiento, además de pasar tiempo de calidad con mi familia, sobre todo nos sirvió para reducir la tensión que nos generó el saber que mi abuela paterna estaba enferma de neumonía y que fue ingresada al hospital, mi papá tuvo que viajar de emergencia al pueblo donde ella vive, y nosotras desafortunadamente no pudimos acompañarlo, así que nos quedamos en casa a la espera de noticias y desde luego eso genera mucho estrés, por lo tanto nos refugiamos en esta actividad que resultó de mucha ayuda para bajar el nivel de ansiedad. Afortunadamente mi abuela ya está de regreso en su casa, luego de haber pasado once días ingresada en el hospital, su estado de salud es bastante bueno y toda la familia se encuentra muy aliviada.
On top of that I received a beautiful postcard with the image of Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana 😊, as I like many songs of this wonderful band.
Además de eso recibí una hermosa postal con la imagen de Kurt Cobain, el vocalista de Nirvana 😊, ya que me gustan muchas canciones de esta maravillosa banda.
En el interior de la caja encontré un poster bastante grande sobre el cual se debería armar el rompecabezas y que además nos serviría de referencia, y también había una bolsa que contenía las mil piezas (debía ser muy cuidadosa de no perder ninguna).
Inside the box I found a rather large poster on which the puzzle was to be assembled and which would also serve as a reference, and there was also a bag containing the thousand pieces (I had to be very careful not to lose any of them).
According to the instructions, we had to select the pieces with the same letter, as there was a letter behind each piece (A.B.C.D) and therefore we had to group them on the poster in the same order as in the instructions. B at the top left, A at the top right, and at the bottom C (left and D right).
Según las instrucciones debíamos seleccionar las piezas que tuvieran la misma letra, ya que detrás de cada pieza había una letra (A.B.C.D) y por lo tanto luego debíamos agruparlas sobre el poster en el mismo orden en que aparecen en las instrucciones. B en la parte izquierda superior, A en la parte derecha superior, y en la parte de abajo C (izquierda y D derecha)
Then we looked for the matching pieces, guided by the colour, the shape and of course by the letters on the back of each piece. We simply marked the poster with the letters A.B.C.D to know where we would place each piece, then we put the central piece in the middle of the poster (this piece has the four letters on the back) and from there we placed all the other pieces. This strategy was suggested by my mum and it was really useful.
Luego nos dedicamos a buscar las piezas que coincidieran, guiándonos por el color, por la forma y desde luego por las letras que tenía cada pieza en la parte posterior. Simplemente marcamos el poster con las letras A.B.C.D para saber donde ubicaríamos cada pieza, luego pusimos la pieza central en el medio del poster (esta pieza tiene en su parte posterior las cuatro letras) y a partir de allí fuimos ubicando todas las demás. Esta estrategia la propuso mi mamá y de verdad resultó muy útil.
With each passing day, the puzzle got bigger and bigger and it was getting better and better with the work and ideas that each one of us contributed, if I couldn't find a piece, my mum or my sister would find it.
Cada día que pasaba el puzzle se hacía más grande y se iba viendo mejor con el trabajo y las ideas que cada una de nosotras aportaba, si yo no podía encontrar una pieza, la encontraba mi mamá o mi hermana
When we were already placing the last pieces, my mum suggested that we should glue them together so that the puzzle would keep its shape and not end up falling apart and we would lose the hours we had spent on it. My sister and I agreed because it would also make a beautiful decoration for our bedroom wall, which I could also use to visualise myself and my family in any place in the world we wanted to visit 😊.
Cuando ya estábamos ubicando las últimas piezas, mi mamá sugirió que luego deberíamos pegarlas para que el puzzle mantuviera su forma y así no terminara desarmándose y entonces perdiéramos las horas invertidas en él. Mi hermana y yo estuvimos de acuerdo porque además quedaría como una hermosa decoración para la pared de nuestra habitación, la cual además me serviría para visualizarme a mi misma y a mi familia en cualquier lugar del mundo que queramos visitar 😊.
And finally the day came to put the last piece and that was me 😁 it was really exciting for me.
Y finalmente llegó el día de poner la última pieza y eso lo hice yo 😁 de verdad fue muy emocionante para mi.
Afterwards, following my mother's advice, we glued each piece together, starting with the central and main piece.
Posteriormente, siguiendo el consejo de mi mamá nos dedicamos a pegar cada pieza, partiendo de la pieza central y principal.
And this was the result of all our effort and dedication, it was very gratifying to contemplate it and to know that we did it together, that we had a good time and that it helped us to release tensions.
Y este fue el resultado de todo nuestro esfuerzo y dedicación, fue muy gratificante contemplarlo y saber que lo hicimos juntas, que pasamos buenos momentos y nos ayudó a liberar tensiones.
