Bit of a different kind of post here today, and I don't want it to be misunderstood, but I think everyone would like to receive more upvotes for their content/comments. I'm not sure if everyone is aware of what curators look out for and value, with the way hive rewards work where stakeholders are basically diluted in exchange for rewarding content and curators earn at the same time if they vote on things others agree with (or at least don't disagree with) it's kind of a very different beast from the general adrevenue filled #web2. There it's more of a win-win situation, the platform and content creators receive a cut of the adrevenue while those who lose out are generally the smaller content creators along with all users of which the ads are targeted towards. While Hive can work in its current model without ads and scale exponentially and without upper limits, I think it's something more people need to understand why we're more careful with who and what we reward as there's a ecosystem-wide loss involved for stakeholders compared to say just some advertisers not getting the clicks they were looking for overturned into sales of their products.
Anyway, I usually make some posts asking to recommend me new users that aren't you for me to follow and possibly curate, but figured I'd switch it up a bit and ask you directly why you think you should get more upvotes for your activity here (maybe even why less?). Maybe I can give you some pointers or advice looking at it from my perspective as a manual curator and what I find value in other than just the content looking at users on my feed and maybe I'll find some new people to follow this way. Might be interesting!
