Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some additional river pictures!
Low Profile River
Taking close-up pictures and ones that are of a type of "low profile" style are often pretty cool in the right situation!
The mountain river, which I'm sure many people are sick of seeing at this point haha, is definitely one of my favorite spots to take some pictures. It is great in most of the seasons, and I think the only ones I haven't gotten to take the pictures in yet is the dead of winter and early spring. Otherwise I've been there most of the other times of year which is great. It's nice to be able to take so many different pictures and see how the landscape changes, the sun and time of day affects the picture and so much more.
I love getting down close to ground level and taking some pictures. There are certainly limits to that though, because you don't want to be so close that your view is getting obstructed from things in the foreground, from seeing the background.
There are so many rocks on this river and it does provide some fantastic opportunities to see some cool and fun angles. It was a little tricky to get this picture here because I was having to kind of lay ontop of a rounded boulder and take the picture, without dropping the camera and getting wet! It wasn't that precarious or anything, but it wasn't just standing there and getting a shot. I liked having to spend some effort and try to format what I wanted to capture in my mind.
That's one of the things that I enjoy photography for. I won't claim to be an incredible photographer but I do enjoy having a little bit of an eye for capturing a scene in what I think is an interesting way.
I also love when I can take these foreground focused and background blurred pictures. It is actually one of my favorite styles of photography and is perhaps one of the most frequent. I can't recall the technical name for this style of photography but I love being able to blur the background just enough so that you can kind of tell what is back there, but it's not fully clear.
Seeing the gigantic red roofed building and tower back there is pretty cool! The sun is hitting it just right and I couldn't have planned that picture any better or differently. It just happened to be the way things went at that time. You can see that the clouds are all over the place, so I certainly think I was lucky to capture that!
I've only got a few pictures left from this trip but it was definitely a great time not only spending with family but getting out to take some pictures and appreciate the beautiful mountain scenery of the world. I know that there are many people who have never seen this place so it's fun to be able to share a little slice of local heaven with folks! I have grown to appreciate what is around me so much more by talking to people here on Hive and learning of how challenging it is for some to travel around the world to places like this. We can share digitally what we can't do physically!
