[Reseña] Clínica musical de batería con Alex Álvarez [ESP-ENG]

La semana pasada asistimos a una agradable Clínica Musical producida por la Academia World Music (@worldmusiccaracas) con el baterista Alex Álvarez (Hive account@alexgalvarez) en el Centro Comercial Manzanares Plaza, en la ciudad de Caracas.

Como grata sorpresa, Alex fue acompañado por el bajista Daniel Cobos (Hive account@danycobos) y el guitarrista Jairo Barón (Hive account@baronjairo), ambos junto a Alex; músicos acompañantes del reconocido cantante Fonseca (Hive account@fonsecamusic).

La clínica comenzó con la interpretación de un reconocido tema de Fonseca, y luego de esto Alex demostró algunos recursos que usa para el desarrollo de fills en la batería empleando agrupaciones de 3, 5, y 7 semicorcheas dentro del compás de 4/4. Seguidamente tocó y habló sobre diferentes ritmos tradicionales colombianos aplicados a la batería, y contó un poco su recorrido musical y experiencia de trabajo junto a Fonseca.

Otra parte agradable de la actividad fue una dinámica de preguntas dirigidas a los asistentes, en donde se dieron obsequios de parte de HARAM Drumsticks (Hive account@harammusic) Aquarian Drumheads (Hive account@aquarian_latinoamerica) y World Music Venezuela (Hive account@worldmusicvzla)

Algunos estudiantes de la academia tuvieron la oportunidad de tocar la batería junto a los músicos invitados. El evento fue muy familiar y cercano, todos los asistentes disfrutamos mucho.

Estamos muy contentos de haber apoyado esta iniciativa, y valoramos mucho el esfuerzo de la Academia World Music, de Joshua Santi (Hive account@joshuassanti), y de todos los involucrados por hacer posible este gran evento.

Esperamos poder seguir colaborando en futuras actividades que promuevan la música y el desarrollo del talento nacional.

Last week we attended a nice Music Clinic produced by Academia World Music (@worldmusiccaracas) with drummer Alex Álvarez (Hive account@alexgalvarez) at the Manzanares Plaza Shopping Center, in the city of Caracas.

As a pleasant surprise, Alex was accompanied by bassist Daniel Cobos (Hive account@danycobos) and guitarist Jairo Barón (Hive account@baronjairo), both of them with Alex; accompanying musicians of the renowned singer Fonseca (Hive account@fonsecamusic).

The clinic began with a performance of a well-known song by Fonseca, and after that Alex demonstrated some of the resources he uses for the development of fills on the drums using groupings of 3, 5, and 7 sixteenth notes within the 4/4 time signature. He then played and talked about different traditional Colombian rhythms applied to the drums, and told a little about his musical journey and experience working with Fonseca.

Another nice part of the activity was a dynamic of questions addressed to the attendees, where gifts were given by HARAM Drumsticks (Hive account@harammusic) Aquarian Drumheads (Hive account@aquarian_latinoamerica) and World Music Venezuela (Hive account@worldmusicvzla).

Some students of the academy had the opportunity to play drums with the invited musicians. The event was very familiar and close, all the attendees enjoyed a lot.

We are very happy to have supported this initiative, and we appreciate the efforts of the World Music Academy, Joshua Santi (Hive account@joshuassanti), and everyone involved for making this great event possible.

We hope to continue collaborating in future activities that promote music and the development of national talent.
