Today I completed this graphite figure study focused on anatomy, light, and emotional expression.
DRAWING PROCESS

While drawing this piece, I paid close attention to the relationship between shadow and form, especially around the neck, chest, and shoulders. I wanted the body to feel soft, human, and expressive rather than perfectly polished.
The pose and cropped composition gave me the feeling of vulnerability and quiet reflection, almost like a fragmented sculpture caught in a moment of silence.
As an artist, I’m learning that figure drawing is not only about anatomy but also about emotion and atmosphere. Every study teaches me something new about observation, patience, and storytelling through form.
Materials used:
Graphite pencil
Drawing paper
Blending technique and layered shading
