The forts in Jaipur are a famous tourist attraction throughout the year and these are 2 watercolor illustrations inspired from one of my trips. I visited these when I was kid and a few times after that, I donβt have any memories from my first one though ahah. It's pleasant to visit such locations in winter since the summer months feel like Satan's boiling pot of torture! I once decided to hike this with my friends which was obviously a BIG mistake lol.
But winter season is very pleasant with cool winds and a little bit of sun. What I really like about these forts is the way they look so luminous at dusk. And since these forts are famous for there tiny windows and doors, they cast beautiful shadows and sun rays at that angle. It's too quick to be able to paint it but I got loads of pictures so I could illustrate it in my way. The selection of rough paper was intentional as it reminds me of the walls there when I touch it. Which I think is a great way to create a connection between your art and travels! βΊοΈ
