Good evening, friends.
Today I'm sharing a drawing I did last night. Lately, I've been feeling more motivated to draw, I went through a difficult period of artistic crisis where I had a hard time finishing a drawing, sometimes I lose inspiration, and that worries me a lot because I'm afraid that one day I won't want to draw anymore. It's something I really enjoy doing, and it's been my dream since I was a child to dedicate myself to drawing. Sometimes I demand too much of myself and end up putting too much pressure on myself, and maybe that affects me. Anyway, today, while doing this drawing, I felt the same as I did a couple of years ago, when I enjoyed what I was doing, and I also decided to try a new brush, I have too many brushes, and I always end up using the same ones, although I find it difficult to adapt to new brushes, I feel it's something I must do to get different results. I hope you like it.
I made the sketch and began painting the skin, at first, I chose a color palette for the skin that I have used very frequently: shades of pink, desaturated browns, and beige. In a new layer, I added more colors to give the entire face a better shape, then I began to mix them until I achieved a skin texture that was a little softer but still had some texture. For the hair, I chose a gray tone.
But then I decided to change the hair to a green tone, so I added dark green highlights and shadows. Then I decided to change the skin tone, giving it a slightly warmer hue. I finished detailing the face by painting the lips and adding a kind of harlequin makeup to the eyes. I also added depth to the eyes. Then I tried out several brushes and found one with a pretty interesting texture, so I decided to use it to blend the dark background with the drawing. Finally, I added highlights to areas I wanted to emphasize, like the eyes, nose, and lips, and I also wanted to add a warm-toned highlight to the top part.
