Good day Hivers. Today I'll be sharing with you all a life drawing of a friend who came around to study with his school mates in my neighborhood.
He had just arrived from school feeling tired. He actually went to write an exam and was complaining how it didn't go well for him.
I asked him if he would care to eat something and to my surprise he neglected. "Today must have been very tough for him in school" I said to myself.
About 30minutes after giving my phone most of my attention. I look at him,he was already sleeping and switching positions as a sign of discomfort. The weather is pretty hot today and he didn't even take a cool shower to freshen up.
I was attracted to the light emanating from the window so I took my little sketchbook and decided to make a piece out of him.
I knew I had to be quick because he would soon switch position and like he could read my mind he did. Well.. Luckily for me I had done my quick sketch in few minutes but I hadn't map out where the tones will be so I can improvise even if he his off position.
I tried to remember the sport the light was so I improvised along so as not to give my drawing a flat look.
It was a great exercise for me because I seem to challenge my mind to continue even while my other mind was telling me not to go on with it. (Fear of loosing likeness or details)
I would love to share some shots I took in it's process below.
