Creating this textile design was an exciting and rewarding experience that began with a simple pencil sketch on paper. The concept was inspired purely by imagination, and once the idea came to mind, I immediately picked up my pencil and started drawing. As the sketch developed, it gradually transformed into a beautiful pattern that perfectly reflected the creative vision I had in mind. This initial stage was important because it allowed me to freely express my ideas and build the foundation of the final design.
After completing the hand-drawn sketch, I proceeded to Adobe Illustrator to refine and digitize the artwork. Using digital tools gave me the opportunity to enhance the lines, improve the symmetry, and add a more professional touch to the overall design. It also allowed me to experiment with different elements while maintaining the originality of the initial concept.
The colouring stage was one of the most enjoyable parts of the process. Although it required patience and attention to detail, it was satisfying to watch the design gradually come to life through the use of carefully selected colours. Each shade added depth, vibrancy, and personality to the final piece.
Overall, this project was both creative and educational. It combined traditional sketching techniques with modern digital design tools, resulting in a unique textile pattern that I am proud to have created. The entire process was truly worth the time and effort invested.
