Hello internet people, everything ok? Today I wanted to make a drawing and show you the step by step. I'm just learning how to draw so it's normal that my results are not perfect, but I still enjoy drawing and besides, that's what it's all about, learning from those who know more than me about it. Without further ado, let's start.
¡Hola, gente de internet. ¿Todo bien? Hoy quise hacer un dibujo y mostrarles el paso a paso. Recién estoy aprendiendo a dibujar así que es normal que mis resultados no sean perfectos, aún así disfruto dibujar y además de eso se trata también de aprender de quien sabe más que yo al respecto. Sin más, comencemos.
Materiales / Materials
The most important thing is to have a place to make the drawing, I used my sketchbook, but if you don't have one you can use a sheet of bond paper. I prefer to use my sketchbook because its pages have texture (and bond paper doesn't) so the colour sets better and gives a better finish, but as I say, you can still get by with a white sheet of paper.
Lo primordial es tener dónde hacer el dibujo, yo utilicé mi cuaderno de bocetos, pero si no tienes uno puedes usar una hoja de papel bond. Yo prefiero usar mi cuaderno porque sus hojas tienen textura (y las hojas de papel bond no) así que el color se fija mejor y le da un mejor acabado, pero como digo, igual puedes apañártelas con una hoja blanca.
I also used two pencils, one 2B (to make the drawing) and one HB (to work on details and shading) and I also used coloured pencils in yellow, black, red, grey, white and light blue, as well as a micro-tip pen (for me this is necessary because if you use a normal pen the finish will not be the same) and I also used an eraser.
También empleé dos lápices uno 2B (para hacer el dibujo) y uno HB (para trabajar detalles y sombreados) además también utilicé colores amarillo, negro, rojo, gris, blanco y celeste, además de un bolígrafo micropunta (para mí este sí es menester porque si usan un bolígrafo normal el acabado no será el mismo) también utilicé un borrador.
The truth is that I rarely use guide lines, so I started to make the balloon and Pennywise's right eye (although I corrected the balloon's orientation a bit later on). The lines look messy but that's because of the way I draw, I make initial strokes and correct them on top and then erase what looks wrong.
La verdad es que yo pocas veces utilizo líneas guías, así que empecé a hacer el globo y el ojo derecho de Pennywise (aunque para más adelante corregí un poco la orientación del globo). Las líneas se ven desprolijas pero es por mi forma de dibujar, hago trazos iniciales y los voy corrigiendo encima y después borro lo que se ve mal.
I finished the details of the eye, went on to draw the other one and redirected the balloon to where I thought it should go.
Terminé los detalles del ojo, pasé a hacer el otro y redirigí el globo a donde pensé debía ir.
Subsequently, I set about drawing Georgie

Step by step I marked the areas in pencil with the micro-tip pen, this helps us to be able to differentiate the lines when we start to use the coloured pencil. In the areas that required it, I outlined a couple of times more to make the lines a little thicker.
Poco a poco fui marcando las zonas a lápiz con el bolígrafo micropunta, esto nos ayuda a poner diferenciar las líneas cuando empecemos a usar el color. En las zonas que lo requería, lo remarqué un par de veces más para que las líneas quedaran un poco más gruesas.
Then I started to apply the colour, starting with Pennywise's eyes. I filled in the pupils with black colour, leaving a small part in white to brighten the eyes. In the iris of both eyes, I coloured them red, shaded them with black and made the small lines with the micro-tip pen, so the eyes took more realism than if I had only coloured them with red.
Entonces empecé a aplicar el color, iniciando por los ojos de Pennywise. En las pupilas rellené con color negro, dejando una pequeña parte en blanco para darle brillo a los ojos. En el iris de ambos ojos, los coloreé de rojo, les hice sombra arriba con color negro y las pequeñas líneas las hice con el bolígrafo micropunta, así los ojos tomaron más realismo a que solo lo hubiese coloreado con color rojo.
Afterwards I started to colour Georgie and although he looks simple at first, then I started to do some details and he turned out great.
Posteriormente me puse a colorear a Georgie y aunque al principio luce simple, después me puse a hacerle detalles y quedó genial.
The details of the balloon I did with the micropencil, the details of Georgie I did with the HB pencil and the black colour.
Los detalles del globo los hice con el boligrafo micropunta, los detalles de Georgie los hice con el lápiz HB y con el color negro.
I then set about finishing Pennywise's eyes, using black, filling in and going over the edge where I needed to in order to give him a better finish.
Entonces me dispuse a terminar los ojos de Pennywise, empleando color negro, rellenando y saliéndome del borde donde debía para darle mejor acabado.
I wanted to detail the clown's eyes in grey and light blue simulating watercolours (as I don't have watercolours I tried to recreate them with colours) and I also used the micro-tip pen for some parts for the same purpose.
Quise hacerle detalles a los ojos del payaso en gris y celeste simulando acuarelas (como no tengo lo intenté recrear con colores) además usé el bolígrafo micropunta para algunas partes con el mismo fin.
Finally I gave it the last details, I made the logo of the film and I finished signing it and putting the date on it as I usually do sometimes.
