If you are a crafter or you're an artist one thing i know for sure is that , You love buying stationary and Art mediums .
Well here is a big and needed upgrade that i wanted and got . So i had set one of my goals on my bucket list to buy a Big 36 piece set pf water colors and this one is a luxury set . So the brand is called Keep smiling and i ordered this set from Daraz . The parcel came in 3 days and let me just tell you how pretty the pakaging was . first of all the main set was in this velvet pouch that just gave me bougie and rich royal vibe amd as i opened the pouch there was this Black tin set .
Lets see what we got in this Set so the first thing i saw was this pouch that had 10 super quality water color paper in it and when i took that out we had 36 water color Pans so these were liytle hexagon quater pans . A metal sharpener and a Hb Pencil . With that we got two brushes one is a water brush with synthetic fibres and the other is a nylon round brush .
then i made sure to do a Swatch test on a paper to see which colors i have how they turn out in gradients and how the quality looks with both brushes . First i sprayed the paints with a water mist so the pigment loosens up then i picked the water brush first and took each of the 36 colors one by one making a dark to light gradient . Since it is a water filled brush so with each stroke the pigment is lighter because of the water perfect for making washes and gradients . I loved how pigmented and vibrant the colors look especially some of them were very fluroscent . Next i did the same with the round brush and just made wiggly strokes and tbh i loved how each color looks . All the colors in this pallete were well pigmented and vibrant also they blend very well.
I also went ahead and made minature water color sceneries and just did some environment art . where i made a beach , sea , sky , a forest , a field , a desert , a sunset and a city scene . TBH the colors were really great for the prize they came in .
each Newton water color pan costs 300-500 rs but these cost me like 3000 rs and they had brushes and 36 pans so i think its a great set to work with .
Is it Ideal for commissions ? maybe not as that needs more professional supplies but is it worth it ? Yes it is as its a great medium to practice with and some of the colors are just love .
Thats all for today Thank you for your precious time and support
