Hello everyone
Today, I’m coming up with my first artwork on hive. For this, I picked up a topic from the daily drawing challenge- Day 10- old man. With this topic in mind, here is my new artwork- sketch of a Rajasthani old man. Using the concept of Rajasthan, I made him wear a pagari (an ethnic turban of Rajasthan) which is a part of a formal Rajasthani dress.
I completed this sketch using the HB pencils of various sizes. Beginning with drawing the basic shape of human face with circles and lines, I continued to draw the eyes, eyebrows, nose and lips therein with an HB pencil. After drawing the pagari shape and coat the overall rough sketch of a Rajasthani old man was completed. Then I started completing the pagari first by filling it with small squares design with the help of 4B pencil. Thereafter, I went on giving a shade in the coat with 8B and 10B pencils. Now, I was left with the face and neck part of this sketch. I gave a shade in the neck with a 4B pencil and then spread it with a brush or fingers to give it a shady look. After that, I continued with completing the eyebrows, eyes, neck and the lips with HB, 3B and 4B pencils. In the end, I gave a finishing to the sketch by drawing wrinkes, beard, other fine lines and a shade all over the face. Finally, its completed. I also used Artists’ Fixative spray after completion of the sketch to prevent spread of the pencil shades all over the page.
Here is the whole process through images-
