Greetings Hiver friends, How are you there? Today I painted a coffee mug and this is created using coffee powder. Once you know already the methods for using this medium, the result looks attractive. I wish you can try this if you have time. Be reminded that using coffee is similar to watercolor. In my experience creating nature scenery through this medium is a bit easy. But this one which is a single subject can achieve also a gorgeous monochromatic effect.
You can choose your desired subject to paint, a subject that you are comfortable with.
In today's art journal, I will show you how to paint a basic process using coffee.
I used three types of painting brushes for this art. And it took me Thirty-five to finish this art.
Materials Needed:
๐ Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
๐ Pencil and eraser
๐ Coffee Powder
๐ 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
๐ Ruler
๐ Clean Water
๐ Rag
๐ Paper napkin
Brushes:
๐ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
๐ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
๐ Round brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
โข Outline or sketch your painting reference.
โข Paint using a lighter shade of the background. create beautiful texture.
โข Paint the first layer of the subject.
โข Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
โข Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have a sharp line or a shape unless it is completely dry.
