Hello, How are you doing? Welcome to my new blog. I am going to share how to create romantic sunset art using oil pastel. This tool is suitable for sunset art because of the vibrant colors and the effect is really good.
This simple tutorial will definitely inspire for the beginners and also for the children. Using this medium does not requires a lot of preparation. As long that you know the basic techniques you can produce a beautiful piece of art.
Generally there are two types of pastel, one is chalk pastel and the other one is oil pastel. Chalk pastels is not made with pure pigments, while oil pastel made with pure pigment, the pigments have lasting brilliance.
Materials needed:
š Artist's oil Pastels
š Watercolor Paper or soft papers
š Ruler
š Pencil and Erazer
š Tape
š Tissue Paper
Procedure:
ā¢ Sketch the reference photo.
ā¢ Background(sky)- Yellow, orange and red, blend them together using finger with a light touch.
ā¢ Middleground - Distance mountain use black, and yellow color for the full moon.
ā¢ Foreground- Red and orange blend them together. Reflection of the moon is yellow color.
ā¢ Black color for the coconut trees.
