🌷✨COLORFUL STITCH BANNER✨🌷
Hello everyone, I had some time without sharing a poster here, I had not had many requests, however a few days ago one of my regular customers wrote me and asked me to make a banner of Stich for her daughter, I never saw that movie when I was a kid, and the truth is that the character looks kind of ugly, but after drawing it I got fond of it sjjsjsjsjs, I tell you the step by step.
Hola a todooos, tenía tiempo sin compartir un cartel por aquí, no había tenido muchos pedidos, sin embargo hace algunos días me escribió una de mis clientas fijas y me pidió que le hiciera una pancarta de stich para su hija, yo de pequeño nunca vi esa película, y la verdad el personaje se me hace medio feito, pero después de dibujarlo le agarré cariño sjjsjsjs, les cuento el paso a paso.
STEP BY STEP✨🌷
The first thing I did was the sketch of the character and I thought it was going to be a little difficult, since the lady sent me specifically the image she wanted me to draw, however it was not like that, it was not difficult and I finished it quickly, I would say that what cost me the most were the hands, but it was still good.
Lo primero que hice fue el boceto del personaje y creí que se me iba a hacer un poco difícil, ya que la señora me mandó específicamente la imagen que quería que yo dibujara, sin embargo no fue así, no se me hizo difícil y lo terminé rápido, diría que lo que más me costó fueron las manos, pero de igual manera quedó bien.

Then came the painting part, I did it a few days after the sketch because I had not yet bought the paints, I was missing a blue, a fuchsia and white, and if you did not know in this work of making a banner you always have to be buying paint jajsja, when I had the paints I started painting the first thing I did was to mix the blue with white and painted. And I tell them that I was trying a different brand of fuchsia, it is solita and I thought it was going to be better, also as it looked very thick and well, actually if it is good, but when it dries it is a more pinkish color is not the intense fuchsia that I like to use in the banners.
Luego llegó la parte de pintar, lo hice unos días después del boceto ya que aún no había comprado las pinturas, me faltaba una azul, una fucsia y la blanca, y por si no sabían en este trabajo de hacer pancarta siempre se tiene que estar comprando pintura jajsja, cuando tuve las pinturas empecé a pintar lo primero que hice fue mezclar el azul con blanco y pinté. Y les cuento que estuve probando una marca distinta de fucsia, es solita y creí que iba a ser mejor, también como se veía bien espesa y bueno, en realidad si es bueno, pero al secarse queda un color más rosado no queda el fucsia intenso que a mi me gusta utilizar en las pancartas

The other part of stitch is a little lighter, more turquoise, and as much as I tried to mix it, it was always a failure, on the internet it says that blue is mixed with green and white, but the blue I bought is very dark and when mixed with green and white it was very opaque, it was not a vibrant color, so I chose to use my colors, and later I will buy a turquoise paint.
Then I finished painting the other stitch things that would be the ears, the legs, the eyes and the nose, I did it mixing different paints since I didn't have the colors as such, and if I did it with color it would take too long, so I mixed the colors, for example for the ears I mixed fuchsia with blue and black, and that color was like dark purple.
La otra parte de stitch es un poco más clara, tirando a un color más turquesa, y por más que intenté mezclar para que me saliera siempre era un fail, en internet dice que se mezcla el azul con verde y con blanco, pero el azul que yo compré es muy oscuro y al mezclarlo con verde y blanco quedaba muy opaco, no quedaba un color vibrante, así que opté por usar mis colores, ya después compraré una pintura turquesa.
Luego terminé de pintar las otras cosas de stitch que vendrían siendo las orejas, las patas, los ojos y la nariz, eso lo hice mezclando distintas pinturas ya que no tenía de los colores que eran como tal, y si lo hacía con color iba a tardar mucho, así que mezclé los colores, por ejemplo para las orejas mezclé fucsia con azul y negro, y quedó ese color como morado oscuro.

And then it was time to highlight, which is my favorite part when I paint banners, since the drawing doesn't make sense until it has the lines that make it so characteristic, I usually take very little time doing that, but that day I decided to take my time so that the lines would be clean.
Y llegó la hora de remarcar, que es mi parte favorita cuando pinto pancartas, ya que el dibujo no cobra sentido hasta que tenga las líneas que lo hacen tan característicos, suelo tardar muy poco haciendo eso, pero ese día decidí tomarme mi tiempo para que las líneas quedaran bien limpias.

After that all that was left was to make details here and there. I made some Hawaiian flowers for the theme of the cartoon and decided to do them with yellow to add another color to the banner since I had only painted blue and fuchsia.
With an old sponge I made a mottled effect, I poured some paint on a lid and with the sponge in my hand I started to apply it softly to add color and dynamics to the banner. After finishing the letters and drawing hearts the banner was ready and this is how it looked.
Luego de eso lo que me quedaba era hacer detalles por ahí y por acá. Hice unas flores hawaianas por la temática de la comiquita y decidí hacerlas con amarillo para incrementar otro color a la pancarta ya que solo había pintado azul y fucsia.
Con una esponja vieja hice un efecto veteado o moteado, eché un poco de pintura en una tapa y con la esponja en la mano empecé a aplicar suavemente para agregarle color y dinámica a la pancarta. Después de terminar las letras y dibujar corazones ya la pancarta estaba lista y así fue como quedó.

If I'm honest, this has been one of the banners that I liked the most, but my client didn't like it very much, and she told me so, well actually it was her daughter who didn't like it, she said that I didn't stand out, the lady said that she liked it but that it was a bit simple and well, in art you have to take into account that you are not always going to receive positive comments, however I try very hard to make my clients like my work, and most of the time it is like that, but this time it was not, I felt a little bad, but well, what remains is to improve and try to please 100% to my next clients, what do you think about this banner? Si les soy sincero esta ha sido una de las pancartas que más me ha gustado, pero a mi clienta no le gustó mucho, y me lo dijo, bueno en realidad fue a la hija que no le gustó, dijo que no me había destacado, la señora dijo que si le gusto pero que estaba como sencilla y bueno, en el arte se tiene que tener en cuenta que no siempre vas a recibir comentarios positivos, sin embargo yo me esfuerzo mucho para que a mis clientes les guste mi trabajo, y la mayoría del tiempo es así, pero en esta ocasión no lo fue, me sentí un poco mal, pero bueno, lo que queda es mejorar y tratar de complacer al 100% a mis próximos clientes ¿A ustedes que les parece esta pancarta?
