This piece was inspired by the fear people had for bush baby in my country, Nigeria have so many believes when it comes to bush baby, some people say it is half human and half animal that torment people at night with it's cry, because it cries like a baby, some believe it has a magic mat that can give people riches and also torment you if you take the mat, while some say it is a spirit being that attacks people if you go close to it, to be honest we don't know which is true, but with the researches have made I realise bush baby is just a small nocturnal primate that can be taken has pet and loved, truly it crys like a baby but that is how it is created.
The slippers in the painting represents how someone who took off his slippers out of fear while living it behind when he saw the bush baby.
