The lyrics from "Lover is a day" by Cuco resonate deeply with me. It speaks of change and how we as humans are constantly evolving, but our minds still cling onto old patterns and ways of thinking. This feeling of being stuck in a cycle is something that I have experienced personally, and it inspired me to create a piece of art.
As I was contemplating these lyrics, I was also re-watching the anime "Your Name" or "Kimi no Na Wa" which is a beautiful story about two individuals who are connected through time and space. The idea of two people who are separated by time and distance, yet connected by fate, is a concept that I find incredibly moving.
I decided to create an art piece that captured the essence of these themes. In the piece, I depicted two people who are separated by distance, yet connected by a red string of fate. The two characters are facing away from each other, representing the idea of being lost in their own thoughts and stuck in their own cycles. The red string of fate that connects them symbolizes the idea that they are still connected, and that despite the distance, they are meant to be together.
