Me gusta mucho el arte y aunque me desenvuelvo mejor con todo lo referente a la pintura y los óleos, y he querido explorar otras áreas que me parecen interesantes.
Una de esas tantas es pintar con tizas pasteles. Tengo unas guardadas desde hace muchos años que eran una parte de una tía (estas las encontré un día revisando los cajones de la casa de mi abuela) y otras de mi papá que desde siempre ha estado involucrado con el arte y la pintura.
Como estamos en navidad quise hacer algo referente a esto y desde que hice el arbolito que les compartí hace días, tenía ganas de pintar una gran bambalina.
Como no tenía idea de por donde empezar busqué videos en Youtube y me encontré con este, que aunque trabajan con óleos pasteles, se trata de materiales muy similares.
Así que me puse manos a la tiza y comencé a trabajar en este "experimento". Por supuesto, lo documenté todo en caso de que saliera algo bueno jajaja ahora se los comparto a ustedes. ♥

I really like art and although I get along better with everything related to painting and oils, and I have wanted to explore other areas that seem interesting to me.
One of those many is painting with pastel chalks. I have saved some for many years that were part of an aunt (I found these one day going through the drawers of my grandmother's house) and others from my dad who has always been involved with art and painting.
Since we are at Christmas, I wanted to do something related to this and since I made the little tree that I shared with you days ago, I wanted to paint a large backstage.
Since I had no idea where to start, I searched for videos on Youtube and I found this, which although they work with oil pastels, They are very similar materials.
So I got down to the chalk and started working on this 'experiment'. Of course, I documented everything in case something good came out hahaha now I share it with you. ♥
Comencé haciendo un pequeño marco por todo el borde de la hoja y con una base circular tracé un círculo, que en este caso sería la bambalina.
I started by making a small frame around the edge of the page and with a circular base I drew a circle, which in this case would be the border.
Comencé agregando color con las tizas rojas, en mi caso solo contaba con dos tonos de rojo, así que pinté con el tono más oscuro el borde y un detalle cerca del centro y con el otro tono de rojo el resto de la esfera.
Ya se comenzaba a ver un poco los manchones que ocasionan estas tizas por el resto de la hoja. La verdad me parece bien chistoso porque por más que uno trate de hacer todo de manera limpia, no es posible, así que toca disfrutarse esto también.
I started adding color with the red crayons, in my case I only had two shades of red, so I painted the edge and a detail near the center with the darker shade and the rest of the sphere with the other shade of red.
The stains caused by these chalks were already beginning to be seen on the rest of the sheet. The truth seems very funny to me because as much as one tries to do everything in a clean way, it is not possible, so it is time to enjoy this too.
Difuminé con el dedo toda la esfera y comencé a agregar algunas sombras en la parte superior e inferior con la tiza de color negro.
Ahora toca hacer algunas luces, para ello utilicé dos tonos de amarillo. Hice círculos por todo el lado izquierdo de la esfera, todos de diferente tamaño.
I smudged the entire sphere with my finger and started adding some shadows on the top and bottom using the black colored chalk.
Now it's time to make some lights, for this I used two shades of yellow. I made circles all around the left side of the sphere, all of different sizes.
Luego con un tono oscuro de verde comencé a pintar todos los alrededores de la bambalina y los contornos de las luces que hice anteriormente.
En este punto iba a difuminar con ayuda de un hisopo los detalles pequeños, pero me di cuenta de que no es posible hacerlo sin quitar mucha cantidad de tiza del papel, así que preferí continuar haciéndolo con mis dedos.
Then with a dark shade of green I began to paint all the surroundings of the stage and the outlines of the lights that I made previously.
At this point I was going to smudge out the small details with the help of a Q-tip, but I realized that it is not possible to do this without removing a lot of chalk from the paper, so I preferred to continue doing it with my fingers.
Para el lado derecho de la pintura pinté con la tiza verde oscuro y también hice algunos machones con la tiza negra, para dar un poco más de profundidad a esta área.
También agregué un poco de ese negro al resto de la pintura.
Con dos tonos de verde más claros comencé a hacer líneas simulando las hojas de un árbol y así rellené todo el lado derecho.
También hice algunos detalles con blanco.
En este punto había seguido todos los pasos del video pero sentía que aun le faltaban algunas cosas para que se viera bien. Seguí mis instintos y comencé a agregar tonos en donde me parecía que flataban.
También agregué detalles a la bambalina usando pintura al frío de color blanco y en la parte superior de la bambalina coloqué un sujetador con un tono amarillo tostado. Por supuesto, también hice la cinta de donde estaba sujetada al árbol y así terminé esta pintura.
No es perfecta pero siento que quedó muy bien para ser un primer intento. Les aseguro que estaré practicado más seguido para lograr una buena técnica con las tizas pasteles.

For the right side of the painting I painted with the dark green chalk and also made some dots with the black chalk, to give a bit more depth to this area.
I also added a bit of that black to the rest of the paint.
With two lighter shades of green I began to make lines simulating the leaves of a tree and thus filled in the entire right side.
I also did some details with white.
At this point I had followed all the steps in the video but felt that it was still missing some things to make it look good. I followed my instincts and started adding tones where they seemed to be floating.
I also added details to the sash using cold white paint and on top of the sash I placed a bra in a toasty yellow shade. Of course, I also made the tape where it was attached to the tree and that's how I finished this painting.
It's not perfect but I feel like it turned out very well for a first attempt. I assure you that I will be practicing more often to achieve a good technique with the pastels.
