The days have been going so fast and I fear that one of these days I might not post. Not because I don’t want to or don’t have drawings in stock but just because there are so many things going on simultaneously.
I just got home not quite long ago and I’ve been spending time with my cousins. For some reason they are just pumped up and excited and I don’t want to ruin the fun. So even though I’m stressed and tired, I still have to spend time with them.
And this leads me to today’s sketch. Because I had very little time to draw today, I picked a relatable subject; The Owl. When I was younger movies and stories always made this animal mystical and when we saw one near the house we used to chase it away because my Uncles and Aunts used to say it was a bad omen.
As I grew and started reading I discovered that the animal was just misunderstood and that their eyes and rotating neck were not one devilish trait but an evolutionary adaptation.
Another thing that makes me relate with this animal is how well they function at night. I also over the years have become a night person. Owls are amazing creatures and once you get to know them, you see them differently.
The process….
Thanks for stopping by friends, it is much appreciated.
