- Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 2 HB y un borrador (corté mi borrador haciendo que las esquinas quedarán en punta así será más fácil borrar espacios pequeños) y mis pinturas témperas.
- What I used to make the drawing in traditional on a cardboard type sheet size 35 x 28 cm, a graphite pencil 2 HB and an eraser (I cut my eraser making the corners to be pointed so it will be easier to erase small spaces) and my temperas paintings.

Comencé realizando el boceto del rostro, sin hacer mucha presión al grafito para evitar que a la hora de borrar se manche la hoja y tratando de encontrar la mayor precisión posible a la hora de ir integrando sus rasgos. Luego borré las líneas más marcadas y comencé con las pinturas, mezcle rojo con amarillo e hice naranja luego le fui agregando blanco para que se asemejara más al tono de piel, agregué un punto de rojo con azul ya mezclado, morado, para oscurecer la piel y hacerla ver de un tono más natural. Ésta primera capa de la piel se ve un poco desastrosa pero confíen en el proceso jajaja
I began by sketching the face, without putting too much pressure on the graphite to avoid smudging the paper when erasing and trying to find the greatest possible precision when integrating her features. Then I erased the most marked lines and started with the paints, I mixed red with yellow and made orange, then I added white to make it look more similar to the skin tone, I added a dot of red with blue already mixed, purple, to darken the skin and make it look more natural. This first layer of the skin looks a bit messy but trust the process hahaha.

Empecé a pintar con tonos cálidos como el naranja y el rojo (rosado para irlo poco a poco oscureciendo) para las partes con sombras en su rostro en partes como la punta de su nariz, en los párpados y alrededor del rostro, luego agregué una mezcla de marrón con negro para hacer las partes más oscuras de su rostro, poco a poco pintando para evitar hacer manchones ya que la pintura es de fácil mezclar.
I started painting with warm tones like orange and red (pink to darken it little by little) for the parts with shadows on his face in parts like the tip of his nose, on the eyelids and around the face, then I added a mix of brown with black to make the darker parts of his face, little by little painting to avoid making blotches since the paint is easy to mix.

Fui agregando más de la mezcla de marrón con negro en las partes más oscuras de su rostro como el cuello, el mentón, sus párpados, etc. Continué agregando más capas de naranja con rojo y mezclandolos un poco para que se viera más natural el contraste entre ambos colores. Pinte sus labios combinando el rojo con el naranja para conseguir una tonalidad al estilo toronja, sus mejillas las pinte con un poco de rojo diluido en agua para que no se viera tan fuerte el color y así crear un estilo de sonrojo, su nariz fue de mis partes favoritas ya que de por sí tiene una forma muy bonita hacer el degradado entre el naranja y el rojo hace que se vea aún más linda, deje un espacio más claro para hacer el brillo de la iluminación. Luego continué con el mismo procedimiento en el cuello y en su oreja, haciendo la punta de ésta un poco sonrojada.
I kept adding more of the brown/black mixture on the darker parts of his face such as her neck, chin, her eyelids, etc. I kept adding more layers of orange with red and mixing them a bit to make the contrast between the two colors look more natural. I painted his lips combining red with orange to get a grapefruit style shade, his cheeks I painted with a little bit of red diluted in water so the color didn't look so strong and create a blush style, his nose was one of my favorite parts since it has a very nice shape, making the gradient between orange and red makes it look even prettier, I left a lighter space to make the brightness of the illumination. Then I continued with the same procedure on the neck and on his ear, making the tip of it a little blushed.

Comencé a pintar las cejas, primero con una capa delgada de marrón y luego fui haciendo más capas para darle el contraste entre la piel y los pelitos de ésta, remarque las partes oscuras haciendo más capas para irlas oscureciendo más. Pinte sus iris con una mezcla de azul con verde (teniendo el azul más presencia en la mezcla) y le agregué una gota de agua para hacerlo menos cargado a la hora de pintarlos y así irle haciendo los detalles y que sean más visibles.
I started to paint the eyebrows, first with a thin layer of brown and then I did more layers to give the contrast between the skin and the hairs of the eyebrows, I highlighted the dark parts doing more layers to make them darker and darker. I painted his irises with a mixture of blue and green (having the blue more presence in the mixture) and I added a drop of water to make it less loaded at the time of painting and thus to make the details more visible.

Profundice un poco más en sus cejas y pinte sus pupilas con negro. Luego comencé a pintar el icónico traje de la era de The Black Parade, primero con capas delgadas de negro para luego irlas profundizando. Continué con el proceso de hacer capas y luego ya aplicaba el negro con mayor intensidad, resalte con negro puro en las partes más oscuras como sus ojos, las cejas, los orificios de la nariz, el cuello y los bordes del traje. Para los botones solo iba aplicando capas desde el gris más claro hasta el negro.
I went a little deeper into his eyebrows and painted his pupils with black. Then I started painting the iconic costume from The Black Parade era, first with thin layers of black and then deepening them. I continued with the process of layering and then I applied the black with more intensity, highlighting with pure black in the darkest parts such as his eyes, eyebrows, nostrils, neck and edges of the suit. For the buttons I only applied layers from the lightest gray to black.
Este es el resultado del dibujo, terminé de pintar su traje y para el cabello hice una mezcla entre la mezcla color piel y blanco para que quedara ese tono pálido, resalte algunos lugares con naranja y rojo y por último puse mi firma. A pesar de que al principio no sabía manejar bien las pinturas (ya que llevaba mucho tiempo sin usarlas) pude encontrar una solución y el resultado me encantó, sobre todo el hecho de que algunas de sus facciones se ven tan vivas y los colores se ven fuertes. Este estilo fue de la era The Black Parade en dónde ellos iban vestidos como si fueran a dar un desfile en el vídeo de Welcome to the black parade, una canción profundamente sentimental pero que a su vez está llena de poder y de intensidad, uno de los icónicos looks de Gerard Way. 🖤🤍
This is the result of the drawing, I finished painting his suit and for the hair I made a mix between the skin color and white mix to get that pale tone, I highlighted some places with orange and red and finally I put my signature. Although at the beginning I didn't know how to handle the paints well (since I hadn't used them for a long time) I was able to find a solution and I loved the result, especially the fact that some of his features look so vivid and the colors look strong. This look was from The Black Parade era where they were dressed as if they were going to give a parade in the video for Welcome to the black parade, a deeply sentimental song but at the same time full of power and intensity, one of Gerard Way's iconic looks. 🖤🤍
