Hello friends, colleagues. Today I will present to you my first work, a portrait of a British cat. This is my first attempt at drawing a kitten, so I hope it turned out well. I will also upload a picture of the kitten so that you, colleagues, can express your opinion. This painting is size 50/50 cm painted on canvas with a double wooden subframe for direct hanging on the wall.Made with professional acrylic paints, which for me personally are a challenge because they dry quite quickly
I decided to first photograph the painting for you from a few suitable angles of sunlight because only a true artist will understand me how much the light
1 step is to prepare my easel canvas and sharpen my sketching pencils
Step 2 is to sketch the basics of the picture like where the kitten's body is and what's around it
step 3 is to prepare the acrylic paints and then lightly wet the area where I'm going to paint and start to lightly paint the kitten as the first and main object
h step is the background which I was still deciding what it would be exactly because I kept too much around it was getting too much for me
I made the background picturesque
now I begin to look for the shadows where they fall and on what
Here I messed it up a bit and had to start from scratch because the background is very smooth and everything has to flow properly
I'm also uploading a photo of the kitten so you can get an idea of what I'm drawing, it's a big cutie
After establishing where everything was in perspective I started to do the detail on the trees and the kitten
And me
his eyes
Muzzle and ears and everything cute this kitty wants
And surprise ..my wood casting kitten is ready for presentation
I'll give you one smile each so you don't regret later that I don't draw a happy one. I am of the opinion that an artist always paints he must be happy. Because that's how he transfers his inner world, his emotion and feeling to the canvas.
And what other emotion can you feel than happiness when you see a picture. Don't you think?
Well, I hope that me and my kitty have inspired you to smile more. I wish you creativity from the bottom of my heart
