Hello, hiveians! It's been a while!
I haven't been around for a month or so, I know. This month was a bit of a mess. I had finals, our cat got sick, I got sick... IT was a real struggle.
I've decided to show you some pages from my sketchbook that I've recently scanned. None of these are complete drawings, just some random doodles I'd drawn. For most of these, I had no aim or purpose. Just to keep my hand moving :) I enjoy some occasional doodling.
Some hand drawings, for practice. It's always nice to draw hands when I don't know what to draw. That's why I keep a sheet of printed hand refrences tucked in my sketchbook.
Here's a doodle of Jaiden, my OC. I've posted a drawing of him here. This is a younger version of my boy though, must be around 13 or 14.
Here's myself, complaining about how I'm not using the sketchbook as it's intended and ruining it... WHICH IS AN ACT I STILL AM DOING. What can I say, watercolor sketchbooks are way too expensive and I can't get enough of that paint.
Here's a page that I did as a test for color pencils. They were interesting. Not the style I often go for but it was a fun experiment. Featuring my OC, Jaiden's sister, Jeanette.
A slightly random self-portrait. (I had a massive haircut in between this and the second drawing.) We were playing a one-shot roleplay with friends over Discord and everyone was supposed to play themselves. I doodled this while playing, in between turns.
There you go! Here's a glimpse to what my sketchbook looks like. Of course, I kept out some really, REALLY ugly pages. I'm not one of those artists who have sketchbooks like art galleries, fillet with beautiful drawings. Mine is more like random drawings and experiments occasionally turned out good.
