Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón, tuvo una vida marcada por el infortunio de sufrir un grave accidente en su juventud que la mantuvo postrada en cama durante largos periodos, llegando a someterse hasta a 32 operaciones quirúrgicas. Su obra pictórica gira temáticamente en torno a su biografía y a su propio sufrimiento. Durante su vida y carrera artística, Frida Kahlo rescató las raíces del arte popular mexicano, a través de su arte, su vestimenta e ideologías. Como una reconocida retratista, quien plasmaba en sus obras la influencia de la naturaleza y de los artificios de México, Frida realzó la cultura popular de México.
Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón, had a life marked by the misfortune of suffering a serious accident in her youth that kept her bedridden for long periods, and she underwent up to 32 surgeries. Her pictorial work revolves thematically around her biography and her own suffering.
During her life and artistic career, Frida Kahlo rescued the roots of Mexican folk art, through her art, clothing and ideologies. As a renowned portraitist, who captured in her works the influence of nature and the artifice of Mexico, Frida enhanced the popular culture of Mexico.

Initial sketch made with mechanical pencil and proportions meter.
initially use pencil B, for shading
Shading of darker areas with pencil 6B
For blending, use a cotton swab initially and then a blender for darker areas.
Final result after applying 5B pencil to darken the portrait a little more. I hope you liked it
