Well, yeah, colored pencil artwork takes a long time to do. But I wasn't doing it to mimic the look of oil. I just wanted to use the pencils I had and do shit during those times when I was between jobs. I also had these books about colored pencil art, so it seemed like a good thing to do with my time, to kill the boredom of being jobless for several months.
