The big plus of the movie is that it's just stylish and beautiful. Black contrasts with white, motorcycles are chic, the main characters Maggie Q and Paul are handsome, vampires are slimy-nasty in style, there is nothing left but to turn off the criticism and watch.
And don't worry that you can easily compare shows to dozens of others where this post-apocalyptic was done much better. And of all Paul Bettany's religiously twisted characters, this priest is my favorite.
