Hi, everybody!
Usually I am drawing portraits, but this time I decided to try landscape. In fact, it's like starting from the very beginning in education, since my work seems absolutely simple and primitive. To tell you the truth most of the artists I subscribe to on Instagram are drawing etudes and sketches in watercolour.
Maybe this technique is quite usual and sketch is what an artist needs to prepare for the work in oil, to check colour balance, to make a quick catch of lights and shadows and so on.
But, yes, there are artists who are making emazing landscapes in watercolour. Very deep and complicated works. I admire them and can enjoy looking at them for long. But, of course, generally these works are on cotton and with high quality materials.
Still for me after digitals watercolours are real rest. I make them more quickly, and working in traditional manner has absolutely different understanding of work.
Thank you!
