Hi, hivers!
This time I made a portrait of a famous actor. When I compare him to reference it seems like he is quite same, but if I look at him without reference I am not sure I would recognise him.
I have a dream of drawing portraits very similar and recognisable, so that later I can make oil portraits of my parents and grandparents in their youth. I want to imagine how they looked like in the spring of their feelings, how they could be happy in a free world, because I have just their standard fotos which look so... "soviet style". There's no action, no dynamic, just smiles.
But to be able to do those portraits from imagination I still need to practice more. This type of skin from the drawing above I have already drawn too much, it's yellow ochre + vermilion or carmin. Looks very nordic. Without sun touch. But I had these colours already prepared on the pallette, and so continued.
Thank you for watching! Good luck!
