For 2023, I decided to use a blank Muji recycled paper planner. It's very simple and allows me to be creative. I can treat it as both a planner and bullet journal for sketching. In my kitchen, I have a large dry-erase calendar that I quickly jot things down on. Then, I practice my hand-lettering with the brush pens in my Muji planner. I normally do digital art, but lately I've been into doodling in the planner. Doing this kills two birds with one stone; it helps me stay organized and it's a relaxing hobby. I like having the visual of how the week is going to look, since I can't seem to keep it straight in my head. Today I got started on organizing this week and next week. I can't believe it's almost St. Patricks Day! In this photo I am drawing the doodles in pencil first. I make a lot of mistakes with hand-drawing, and there's no Ctrl-Z function 😅
I recently started doing more shading with a grey brush pen. This helps add some depth to the doodles ⬆️
I added some color to the doodles with the green and brown brush pens ⬆️
I added some more precise lines with the pens ⬆️
Have a great week, and a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
