Hello everyone, last night I painted this pizza looking girl :) in ibis paint. I was aiming to do something fun and colorful even though I had no idea what or how and I am viewing this as a mixed media digital piece because I used so many types of brushes with interesting shapes to get this look. I also used the liquify too to experiment a lot on the eyes and fingers, just to make it more fluid and different. Perhaps even weird.
One thing I wish ibis paint had was the ability to change the background easily like in sketchbook pro. Instead you have to fill a new layer with the color you want and that means you might mistakenly erase it unlike in sketchbookpro where it becomes the canvas layer itself and cannot be erased.
Back to the painting. I started with a sketch and I used the coarse texture brush again. I believe I will only be using this brush for sketches because it just has the right feel. As if you were drawing with an actual pencil on paper.
Then I painted colors I though I would use at that time.
I realized that it looked a bit too bland from what I was hoping to achieve, so I kept painting and trying new brushes until I arrived at this look
I want to share some of the ways I played with the liquify tool before finally settling on this one
I feel they're all unique creations but I'm happy with the final version I chose
Cheers!
