Today, I decided to push on to paint even more glossiness and here's what I came up with
The steps are as follows:
I started with a simple sketch
Then I proceeded to paint the base colors
My favorite parts of the face to paint are the lips and the eyes in that order. Although I started with the eyes here
More refining
It gets exciting at this stage as I begin to sculpt the face by adding more layers to define it
I kept working at it and yesterday during my regular observation of some paintings I liked on pinterest, I noticed that making the background lighter gave it something extra. So I did that by setting a new layer to soft glow and painting over with the same shade of green as in the background. The candle were incidental. I was trying to add some yellow and the strokes I made caused me to see a candle shape so I quickly Googled some candles to see what colors I could add to give it more form. This is why I didn't spend too much time on defining them
Thanks for stopping by!
