Hello everyone, today I decided to paint something more prominent. Central if you like as I felt it was time to allow my portrait painting speak for itself without adding any other elements or objects.
I also decided to call this painting 'Wispy blue girl' for obvious reasons 💙😄. Her hair is blue and there is a wispiness about her hair and her eye area.
Here are the steps. I started with an outline
Then I proceeded to add the base colors
She looked pretty at this stage and I was wondering if I should just make it neat by cleaning the lines and leaving as is but I continued
The stage above was mainly about adding shadows and highlights but my touch was very light and they are mininimal. Also, I began to think it would not be a bad idea to blend out the lines around her eyes and also add some eye bags. I did this and also painted over the hair with some blue and set the blend mode to 'screen'.
