Hi everyone! I present to you 2 of my original characters: Clio (above) and the fire elemental Ignir (below)
This is a confrontation between an entity of absolute ice (Clio) against a fire elemental being (Ignir) in which I am working for my own original manga 😁
- This is the original sketch, made in 2017, in which I made annotations to digitalize it (sometimes I forget things) all done with a pen in the traditional way!
- These are the lines passed to clean in digital, in this image I made the correction of inverting the image, as I noted in the sketch!
- In a new layer paint the drawing with the base colors of both characters...
- I paint the first layer of shadows with a very soft gray ...
- Now he placed another layer of gray for the shadow of both!
- I place one more shadow with gray and apply the first lighting effects and I can go to the background ...
- A lilac / gray tone serves as a base to start with the background colors
- A gradient in blue as if it were a kind of smoke and some touches with the watercolor brush in the area of Clio's fist ...
- I hadn't decided what he wanted to do, so he let it flow ...and suddenly I said: what if I make a kind of lightning with rays coming out to give strength and energy to the drawing? I tried it with a watercolor brush on a different layer and I really liked the result!
- Add more smoke effect with a dark sky blue hue to complement the lightning bolts!
- And for the final touches, I corrected Clio's gaze, added turquoise lights to both Clio and Ignir as a reflection of the background and placed some light effects over the entire drawing to consider it finished !!
