And by warm-up I mean forcing my hand out of the stillness. Did I say hand? I meant mind.
Those who shoot with their hands have forgotten the faces of their fathers...
— from The Dark Tower by Stephen King.
This is the shortest way to convey all that I meant in a single quote so...Although I intended to do a longer post, I shall leave it at that.
Yeah, I also let the paper contract in an unpleasant way again. Such noobish lack of preparation. Then again, it was what it was — a warm-up. Kind of cold in the story, though.
Next up...finding the time and peace of mind to sit down properly, stretch a new piece of paper on a good surface (oh, ****, I had a good flat surface to install in place of a broken window and I skipped that task today...because of time flying, of course...), find another surface to mix colors on and try to do a full...whatever...
The one above? It has some chance at getting straightened somehow and continued. Perhaps. I like some of it.
Why am I doing this? To help with the task of illustrating the whole set of cards for our Western Shores board game project. As usual, I shall post a reminder about it below:
It's a board game in the making about Viking explorers. Details are written or reblogged (mostly) by the account that I made for the purpose of promoting and crowdfunding the whole idea — .
We have tokenized a few of the illustrations on NFTshowroom.com:
Frozen Mammoth by ;
Temptress by ;
Jormungandr, The Sea Dragon by ;
Dragon of the Woods by ;
Quiet Inlet by ;
Frost Giant Outlook by .
And there's the #westernshores tag to bind them in a single collection.
Thank you for being with us!
Peace!
