The guest of my black book today is the angry king cobra snake. This is our cobra, head up, mouth open, about to make the last move to catch its prey.
This large snake usually feeds on other smaller snakes. It is a creature that has the power to kill twenty people with the poison it pours in one bite. It is a snake species that can feed on lizards, birds and other rodents when food is plentiful.
King cobra (also known as Ophiophagus hannah, Naja bungarus[1] ) is the longest venomous snake in the world. Its length can reach an average of 3.5-4 meters, although some have reached 5.5-6 meters. It can weigh up to 9 kilograms[2]. This species has a fairly wide range of habitats from Southeast Asia to India. In addition, there are King Cobras in different colors and patterns in nature. For example, King Cobras in Thailand have an olive green coloration, while those in China have a darker color and golden yellow patterns. Source
