Hey everyone
Happy Halloween!
I started this piece just to get my mind off things — sketching a simple fall decoration with sunflowers, pumpkins, and maple leaves. But as often happens when I draw, it slowly pulled me in.
I used permanent markers on drawing paper, layering warm autumn tones of orange, red, and gold. The more I drew, the more I felt the rhythm of the lines take over — and almost without thinking, I began adding my signature swirling skies and glowing stars.
It’s something that’s become a bit of a trademark in my work, and it always brings me a sense of movement and calm.
Here’s how it evolved — from the first sketch to the finished piece
By the time I finished, it had transformed from a cozy fall bouquet into something that felt almost Van Gogh-like — alive with motion and light, somewhere between autumn warmth and Halloween whimsy.
It’s amazing how a simple moment of creative distraction can turn into something that reflects your entire mood.
