Greetings friends of hive and skechbook community today following my free time after arriving from work I dedicate myself to do some reading, so today I read the story of this fantastic woman as was Frida Kahlo whose life was marked by tragedy but never lost hope and the will to live, this mexican artist always used her art to explore her identity, her culture and her own physical and emotional pain.
Despite having led a life marked by tragedy, she always carried great messages through her writing and painting and carried her Mexican trait with great dignity and courage, remaining before the world as a heroic woman.
Frida was a militant in the communist party and was a promoter of leftist ideas, defending her customs, thoughts and causes born from her roots, she defended the cause of the indigenous people in Mexico.
After seeing how this heroic woman who despite her health problems continued to fight for what she wanted regardless of her problems did not give to understand that you should always fight for what you want so in tribute to this great woman I made this beautiful caricature of frida kahlo in graphite which I want to share with you.
Here I leave you my step by step that I made to make my painting.
💕Primer paso🚶
💕First step🚶
To make my caricature of frida kahlo the first thing I did was to make the first part of her clothes starting with the parts of her shoulders and sleeves of her dress, in the same way I started with the shape of her neck that would give shape to her head.
💕Segundo paso🚶
💕Second step🚶.
Already focused on her clothing and part of her head, I will shape her face together with her hair and part of theadoro that would identify her as Frida.
💕Tercer paso🚶
💕Third step🚶
Once her head is done, I will make her eyebrows and eyes together with the earrings that will hang in her ears, as well as her lips and her tiny nose.
💕Cuarto paso🚶
💕Fourth step🚶
Once I finished my caricature of denfrida, I blurred her face and part of her dress, leaving some parts lighter and others darker in order to differentiate the diversity of colors with which the painter identified herself, since her clothing was practically based on the colors of the typical costume of the Mexican woman.
