Elemental de Tierra
Today we continue creating elementals. In previous blogs, we created the elemental of the elements water and fire; we only have two elements left to make: the earth elemental and the air elemental. As always, today’s drawing comes with a step-by-step tutorial, very easy to follow and suitable for all levels, whether you are a beginner or a great artist. Without further ado, I hope you like this drawing blog.
Hoy continuamos creando elementales. En blogs anteriores realizamos el elemental de los elementos agua y fuego; solo nos quedan dos elementos por hacer: el elemento tierra y el elemento viento. Como siempre, el dibujo de hoy viene acompañado de un tutorial paso a paso, muy sencillo de seguir y para todos los niveles, tanto si eres un principiante como un gran artista. Sin más, espero que les guste este blog de dibujo.
As always, I share the tutorial sheet with you. It is very simple to follow; we just need to follow the arrows and the numbers that indicate the order. I will be using digital tools to draw my Elemental, in this case Ibis Paint, but nothing prevents you from doing it on paper with colored pencils as always, just remember to draw the sketch very lightly so you can erase it later.
Como siempre les comparto la hoja tutorial, es muy simple de seguir, simplemente guiarnos por las flechas y los números que indican el orden. Yo estaré usando herramientas digitales para dibujar mi Elemental, en este caso Ibis Paint, pero nada quita que lo puedas hacer en papel y lápices de colores como siempre, solo recuerda dibujar el boceto bien suave para poder borrarlo después.
After sketching for a while, I am already happy with my elemental drawing. Let me explain it a bit. Since my elemental is Earth, I want it to represent the earth completely, which is why I gave it a rounded shape that represents a globe. It also has not only the mineral part but also grass and plants as if they were its hair, representing the growth of nature. I think that of all the elementals, this one will have the most symbolism.
Después de bocetar un rato, ya estoy feliz con mi dibujo del elemental, lo explico un poco. Como mi elemental es Tierra, quiero que represente la tierra completamente, por eso la forma redondeada que representa un globo terráqueo. También tiene no solo la parte mineral sino el césped y las plantas como si fuese su cabello, representando el crecimiento de lo natural. Creo que de todos los elementales este será el que mayor simbolismo tiene.
Now it’s time to start coloring. I want it to be very colorful but with a palette of browns and greens, like the earth. I also want it to be a drawing without lines, more like a 3D shape, so I will rely heavily on the use of lights, shadows, and textures. I’ll start with the hair/plants and then add some general lighting details.
Ahora sí es el momento de empezar a colorear. Quiero que sea muy colorido pero con una paleta de colores cafés y verdes como la tierra. Además, quiero que sea un dibujo sin líneas, más como una forma 3D, así que me apoyaré mucho en el uso de luces, sombras y texturas. Comenzaré por el cabello/plantas y después daré algunos detalles de iluminación general.
Also following the same steps, I made the entire earth part, added some rocks inside, and only the face remains in this area.
También siguiendo los mismos pasos hice toda la parte de la tierra, le agregué algunas rocas en el interior y solo resta su cara en esta zona.
I will draw only one of the eyes since the other will be covered by the grass.
Le dibujaré solo uno de los ojos ya que el otro estará cubierto por el césped.
A smile that cannot be missing because it is a happy and well-cared-for Earth, and only the leaves that make up part of the green hair remain to be drawn.
Una sonrisa que no puede faltar porque es una Tierra feliz y bien cuidada, y solo queda dibujarle las hojas que conforman parte del verde del cabello.
Since I don’t want to present the drawing simply on a white background, I will draw a small background with lights and shadows and plenty of noise texture that will complement the overall image of our Earth elemental. Remember to protect our planet, which for now is the only one we have!
Como no quiero presentar el dibujo simplemente en fondo blanco, dibujaré un pequeño fondo con luces y sombras y mucha textura de ruido que complementará la imagen general de nuestro elemental de Tierra. Recuerden proteger nuestro planeta que por ahora es el único que tenemos!
