Robert Downey Jr - Illustration made in the traditional way [Es/En]

Mi salud ha ido mejorando considerablemente durante los últimos días, por lo menos he estado realizando algunas actividades con más ánimo. Una de esas es el dibujo la cual siempre termina llenando mis espacios vacíos. En esta ocasión decidí trabajar con la imagen de Robert Downey Jr muy famoso por su papel de Iron Man. Mi intención fue hacerlo tipo caricatura con un tono de piel pálido, he realizado algunos trabajos de esta forma y me agradan mucho, le dan un aspecto de estatua de cera.

My health has been improving considerably during the last few days, at least I have been doing some activities with more encouragement. One of those is drawing which always ends up filling my empty spaces. This time I decided to work with the image of Robert Downey Jr very famous for his role in Iron Man. My intention was to make it a caricature type with a pale skin tone, I have done some works in this way and I like them very much, they give him a wax statue look.

A pesar de que mis manos se movían como gelatina pude lograr un resultado decente, realmente es una sensación de volver a comenzar, algo le mencionaba por la mañana a el amigo Hive account@alarconr22.arte, quien me daba algunos consejos para no terminar frustrandome en el proceso.

Even though my hands were moving like jelly I was able to achieve a decent result, it really is a feeling of starting over, something I mentioned in the morning to my friend Hive account@alarconr22.arte, who gave me some tips to not end up getting frustrated in the process.

No sé cuánto tiempo me quedé viendo la hoja en blanco, casi como descubriendo por dónde comenzar, mientras luchaba con las ganas de dejarlo e irme a dormir, pero ya luego con la ayuda de una canción muy hermosa (Roberto Carlos - India) comencé con los trazos iniciales y todo se volvió más fácil.

I don't know how long I stared at the blank page, almost as if discovering where to start, while I struggled with the urge to quit and go to sleep, but then with the help of a very beautiful song (Roberto Carlos - India) I started with the initial strokes and everything became easier.

Primero creé mi boceto, luego realicé un delineado principal. Seguidamente fui dando tonos claros y oscuros en algunas zonas. El paso más importante fue mezclar el color blanco en todo el proceso, esto es lo que da esa apariencia densa y resulta en un color pálido que me encanta. Quise darle color a sus ojos de tal manera que pudiesen dar contraste y en un principio creí lograrlo, pero, terminé agregando demasiado color negro en el contorno y perdí el color ámbar que deseaba. Con marcadores gastados le di detalles al traje, siempre saco provecho de estos elementos cuando ya no dan demasiada tinta. El resultado no me desagrada, espero lo puedan disfrutar.

First I created my sketch, then I made a main outline. Then I did light and dark tones in some areas. The most important step was to mix the white color throughout the process, this is what gives that dense look and results in a pale color that I love. I wanted to color her eyes in such a way that they could give contrast and at first I thought I succeeded, but, I ended up adding too much black color in the outline and lost the amber color I wanted. With worn markers I gave details to the suit, I always take advantage of these elements when they no longer give too much ink. I don't dislike the result, I hope you can enjoy it.
