Hello, little people of the internet, today I will share with you a drawing that I finished a few days ago and I'm really satisfied because the result seemed to me cooler than I expected.
There are seasons where I feel attracted to a specific style or theme, some time ago I made several drawings of cute little fairies, I don't know if you remember it, this time I felt inspired to start drawing cowgirls with a sensual style but also a little retro.
This was the color palette I used in the drawing, it is the first time I use a specific color palette but it made the process much easier; I plan to do more drawings with the same theme and maybe I will choose the same range of colors or at least a similar one.
Process:
One of the things I liked the most about this character was the pose, I feel it's attractive.
I've been paying a lot of attention to the style of other artists and something I've started to apply in my drawings is the dynamism in the lineart, for that I usually use the default Photoshop pen brush.
The coloring is always one of my favorite parts of the process, this time it was very relaxing because I didn't plan to add too many shades or details to the skin, except adding a little extra color to the cheeks and a little brightness in some areas with the "linear overexposure" layer.
Now, the part of the process that almost made me give up on continuing with this drawing was deciding what to do for the background. I downloaded some animal print design brushes and painted half of the background with a zebra (or maybe it's tiger?) design, I liked the gradient from one color to another but still felt I needed to add more background stuff to make the drawing look more appealing.
Then I ended up drawing one by one the cowboy-themed designs you see in the back: a horseshoe, a sheriff's star, the revolver and the cowboy boot (my favorite, of course) and played with the position of them until I found the one I liked the most.
And that was the final result.

Hola, gentecita de internet, el día de hoy les compartiré un dibujo que terminé hace unos días y me trae realmente satisfecha porque el resultado me pareció más genial de lo que esperaba.
Hay temporadas donde me siento atraída a un estilo o a una temática específica, hace un tiempo hice varios dibujos de lindas haditas, no sé si lo recuerdan, pues en esta ocasión me sentí inspirada por empezar a dibujar vaqueras con un estilo sensual pero también un poco retro.
Esta fue la paleta de colores que usé en el dibujo, es la primera vez que uso una paleta de colores específica pero me facilitó mucho el proceso; pienso hacer más dibujos con la misma temática y quizá escoja la misma gama de colores o al menos una similar.
Proceso:
Una de las cosas que más me gustaron hacer de este personaje fue la pose, es siento que es atractiva.
He estado prestando mucha atención al estilo de otros artistas y algo que he empezado a aplicar en mis dibujos es el dinamismo en el lineart, para eso suelo usar el pincel pluma que trae por defecto Photoshop.
El coloreado siempre es una de mis partes favoritas del proceso, en esta ocasión fue muy relajante porque no tenía planeado añadir demasiados matices o detalles a la piel, salvo añadir un poco de color extra a las mejillas y un poco de brillo en algunas zonas con la capa de "sobreexposición lineal".
Ahora, la parte del proceso que por poco me hace desistir de continuar con este dibujo fue decidir qué hacer para el fondo. Descargué unos pinceles con diseño de animal print y pinté la mitad del fondo con un diseño de cebra (¿o quizá es de tigre?), me gustó el degradado de un color a otro pero aún así sentía que debía añadir más cosas de fondo para que el dibujo se viera más atractivo.
Entonces terminé por dibujar uno a uno los diseños con tema de vaqueros que se ven atrás: una herradura, una estrella de alguacil, las revolver y la bota vaquera (mi favorita, claro) y jugué con la posición de ellos hasta dar con el que más me gustara.
Y ese fue el resultado final.
